Here is an APV Two Effect evaporator, with Alloy 20 vapor vessels and ducting and with Titanium heat exchanger surfaces (plates) in the 1st effect and Carpenter 20 heat exchanger surfaces (plates) in the two heat exchangers that comprise the 2nd effect. The feed preheater is a heat exchanger with Incolloy 825 plates. This system is equipped with a plate type finisher (Paravap) that has Hastelloy plates. All product contact pumps are Alloy 20. It has a dual TVR's system that will give this system about 3 to 1 economy. The dual TVR system will allow this evaporator to be easily turned down to lower feed and evaporation rates while maintaining efficiency. It can be configured to run 20,000 lbs/hr or more of evaporation, or can be configured for much less lbs/hr. APV Single Effect SR-25 Paravap Plate Evaporator. Year Built: 1997, This unit has been designed to run high viscosity products . The evaporation rate is somewhat variable depending on the conditions run.
All product contact surfaces are food grade polished 316 SS. This complete system would make an ideal test evaporator, a pilot plant evaporation system or an evaporation system to do small quantities of highly valuable product. All it needs to run is to be hooked up to a low-pressure steam source (30 psig), a power supply (440 volts) and a water supply (approx 20 gpm total).
All equipment is mounted on a SS skid. Overall dimensions: 9 ft. 8 in. L x 7 ft. W x 8 ft. 4 in. H.

This small skid mounted APV single effect rising falling film "junior" evaporator will evaporate approximately 250 lbs/ hr of water from products. It is set up for manual control and is very simple to operate. Nice unit for a pilot plant or for small production runs. Rebuilt by Genemco. Capacity can be expanded to a capacity of up to 1000 lbs/hr by addition of extra plates.
